Carly Rae Jepsen

Carly Rae Jepsen is a Canadian singer songwriter, born 21st Nov 1985, in Mission, British Columbia, Canada. Carly became famous in 2007, aged 22, after finishing third in Canadian Idol. Her first album, Tug of War, was released in 2008, with all 10 songs, good easy listening.

Kiss was released in 2012, with the huge hit, Call Me Maybe, a number 1 hit in several countries, one of the most watched videos on YouTube. Other top tracks are Good Time, This Kiss, and Beautiful.

Emotion was released in 2015.

Emotion Side B was released in 2016.

Dedicated was released in 2019.

The Loneliest Time was realeased in 2022.

She took an interest in the arts while at high school, performing in a number of plays. Carly then had a spell at the Canadian College of Performing Arts in Victoria, British Columbia. She acquired her first guitar aged 17, and soon after, began playing in pubs in Vancouver.

Carly became famous after entering Canadian Idol in 1985, aged 22.

Her favourite other musicians are: Ella Fitzgerald, Sinead O’Connor, & The Killers.
