Taylor Swift is a US singer songwriter, born 13th Dec 1989, in Reading/ Pennsylvania.

Taylor became famous worldwide with the release of her 4th album, Red, in 2012, aged 23, with the massive hit singles, We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together, and, I Knew You Were Trouble.

1989 was released in 2014 with the two main songs from the album, Shake It Off, and, Blank Space, with Shake It Off being one of the most viewed videos on YouTube.

Lover was released in 2019 with the top songs, Lover, The Archer, and, You Need To Calm Down.

Folklore was released in 2020 with the top song, This is me Trying.

Midnights was released in 2022 with the top song Anti Hero.

The Tortured was released in 2024 with the top song Fortnight.

Taylor began playing country music from the age of 11, then moved with her family to Nashville aged 14, to pursue a career in country music.

Taylor released her first country album, Taylor Swift, in 2006, aged 17. Her second album, Fearless, was released in 2008, and third album, Speak Now, in 2010. By this time she had changed more to pop than country.

Aged 23, she hit the big time with the single, We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together, from the album, Red, her first to reach the 1 spot in the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Taylor's favourite other musician is the country singer Shaina Twain.
