Lakeside is a Village in the Lake
District of Cumbria, on the south side
of Lake Windermere.
Lakeside is popular for Boat Trips,
Aquarium and Steam Train rides to
Hverthwaite 3 miles south and back.

popular Cafe above the Train Station, and the
Lakeside
Hotel on the right has a popular Beer
Garden, both with amazing views.

Lakeside to Ambleside at the north of Lake
Windermere is about 14 miles. Lakeside to
Bowness about 9 miles.
This is a mid sized Boat, there are much
larger Boats, and smaller Boats to choose
from.

The Lakeside Aquarium is next to the Steam
Train station and Lake Windermere Pier. This
is a fairly large Aquarium showing a large
variety of fish that can be found in Cumbria,
and others from around the world.

The Haverthwaite Railway Station is about
3 miles south of Lakeside in Cumbria. The
Station has a Kids Play area and
Restaurant.
This Railway ends here now, with just the
steam trains running between the Station and
Lakeside between March and October from about
10.00 and 16.30, a very popular attraction.
