The image top is boat arriving from Bowness-on-Windermere at Lakeside. There is a popular Cafe above the Train Station, and the Lakeside Hotel on the right has a popular Beer Garden, both with amazing views.

The second image is of one of the Tour Boats arriving from Ambleside and Bowness. Lakeside to Ambleside at the north of Lake Windermere is about 14 miles. Lakeside to Bowness about 9 miles.

This is a mid sized Boat, there are much larger Boats, and smaller Boats to choose from.

The Lakeside Aquarium is next to the Steam Train station and Lake Windermere Pier. This is a fairly large Aquarium showing a large variety of fish that can be found in Cumbria, and others from around the world.

The Haverthwaite Railway Station is about 3 miles south of Lakeside in Cumbria. The Station has a Kids Play area and Restaurant.

This Railway ends here now, with just the steam trains running between the Station and Lakeside between March and October from about 10.00 and 16.30, a very popular attraction. You can buy Lake Cruises and Steam Train tickets combined.
