RS Home

Below is a list of Websites for the Island of Iona in western Scotland.

The Island is 27 miles off the coast at the town of Oban, or 1 mile off the west coast of the Isle of Mull, from the village of Fionnphort.

Iona is famouse for its historic Abbey, the first Abbey in Scotland, burial place of many early Kings.

Most visits to Iona are from Fionnphort. Some tours can be taken from Oban that consist of a ferry trip to Craignure on the southeast side of Mull, bus trip to Fionnphort on the west side of Mull, then the ferry or a boat trip to Iona.

Many people that visit Iona, also visit the island of Staffa and Fingals Cave at the same time, as they are in the same area.
